Dad has his Chickens.........
They are a reason for him to get up in the morning....
He has to let them out of their pin.
Feed Them.
Clean up after them.
Get them fresh greens from the veggie stand..........
THEY GIVE HIM JOY......
HE FEELS LIKE A FARMER........
HE LOVES to see them running around the yard......
HE LOVES listening to them lay their eggs each day.......
HE has to go out and pick them up and put them back into their pin each evening........
YES.... It is a BIG commitment... AND..... IT is WORTH the work he puts out for the SATASFACTION he gets in taking care of them.

When Mom died two years ago, I wasn't sure if Dad was going to choose LIFE..........
HE DID....
It was a LONG HAUL......
HE cried every day for the first year and a half after Mom died........
He had LOST his PURPOSE......
Dad is now WHISTELING while he works....
