What a WHIRL WIND Tour........
We took our bikes to San Francisco, stayed at a lovely "Painted Lady" , cycled the city, walked the city, ate at the Stinking Rose, Drank at the Top Of The Mark, danced at the Tiki Lounge, walked the Labyrinth at Grace Cathedral, cycled across the Golden Gate, drank coffee and cried in Sausalito (it was sooo beautiful... sitting in the sun, feeling the warmth on my face, listening to Italian music, looking out to the bay with the city in the back ground, boats sailing..... I was thinking to myself "I think I'm going to cry??" Then Reni said, "This is sooo beautiful, I think i'm going to cry") I swear we are two peas in a pod. There is only one other girlfriend who is as out going, do all, be a total nut, as me and that is Lynda from New Zealand. NOW I have Reni from Switzerland!!! I'm sure we are soul sisters, she too has to bring ROCKS home from where ever she visits!!! She also wants to EAT, SMELL, FEEL and DO ABSOLUTELY everything there is possible to explore and experience. It is sooo good to know there are Women in the World that I can be my total self with. We would go all day, quickly change into something presentable then hit the town for a night out, not caring a bit that we had not done our hair or make up, Just LIVING LIFE to the FULLEST, DRINKING it UP, ENJOYING it all, verry special to have her in my life for a week.

Andre and Yvone (from Groningen Holland), happen to be here at the same time, which was a joy to all share a day of adventure together. We went to Muir Woods, Antique Shopping in Healdsburg , Drove through the BRIGHT GREEN Wine Country and introduced them to my Aunt Mildred (who is the closest I can get to introducing them to my Mother), we topped off the day (yes we did alllll this in one day!!!) with driving to Treasure Island to see "Bliss Dancer" (a GIANT Woman Sculpture) and watching the light display on the Bay Bridge. YIKES, I drove us back to the Bay Area in a massive storm. HARD to say goodbye to Andre and Yvone....... If Falco and I were still together I would be seeing them each summer for a few months while we lived in "Heaven Under The Moon TOO" (our garden house in Groningen). I miss my life in Holland. I miss my friends there, my life there. I not only lost my life companion, my partner, my angle but my life in Holland. The FATES of WAR are NOT FAIR....... not fair at all. I could go kicking, screaming and complaining about the deal I was dealt BUT that wouldn't get me anywhere. Accepting what is, is all I can do.... Sooooo, I will mourn from time to time as the pain comes up, feel it, think about how beautiful it was then pull myself up from the boot straps and carry on, with softness in my heart from all the LOVE that was experiences and enjoyed.
We enjoyed a day in Capitola with Diana and little Olivia. Eating, Drinking, Window Shopping... Being GIRLS.
Another AMAZING day was cycling through Santa Cruz, Cycling through Carmel then cycling through Point Lobos, dinner at the Post Ranch over looking the West Coast , dinner at Deetjins, then dancing until 1am at the Fernwood
Our second day was spent exploring Big Sur.... we walked down to Smugglers Cove, Julia Phifer Beach, we enjoyed an AMAZING massage at Esalen, watched the Dolphins and Seals from the HOT TUBs of Esalen and spent the night in a yurt provided by sweet Jane, (who I was roomates with at Esalen over a year ago while studing Non Violent Communication).
It was hard to drop off Reni at the Rental Car Office but I knew she would carry on down Hwy 1 exploring every nook and cranny until she got to LA then off to Florida. We will both miss having each other to slit our meals with and share the JOYS of life but we will each be in each others hearts, knowing we are SOUL SISTERS.
